The Embassy of Switzerland in Australia has opened this year's call  for application for the Mertz Fellowship for polar and high altitude research collaboration. The programme, supported by the Swiss Polar Institute, promotes linkages between Swiss and Australian higher education and research institutions through scientific networking and joint projects.

• Application for: PhD student or early career researchers from the polar and high-altitude science communities in Switzerland and Australia
• Funding: One AUD 10,000 grant is made available per year that can be used toward travel and costs of living 
• Start date: 2025
• Deadline: 31st of October 2024, 11PM CET
