Una Europa

Building a University of the Future

Una Europa is a European University Alliance established under the European University Initiative to transform and innovate higher education in Europe. The alliance connects eleven leading European research universities, representing a combined academic legacy of over 1000 years. Founded in 2019, Una Europa brings together more than 500,000 students, nearly 100'000 staff, and millions of digital learners to create a European inter-university environment fostering collaboration across borders and disciplines.

The University of Zurich (UZH) joined Una Europa in May 2022. This milestone aligns with UZH's Global Strategy 2030, which focuses on strengthening international collaboration and enhancing the quality of education and research. Through its membership, UZH has expanded access to diverse programs, fostered interdisciplinary cooperation, and contributed to building a dynamic European higher education landscape. By actively participating in the Una.Futura project funded by Movetia, UZH reinforces its role as a globally connected institution. Hereby, it offers its community enriched opportunities for international academic and cultural exchange.
