  • CALL OPEN: Una Europa Student Project Incubator Fall 2026

    Are you passionate about sustainability and ready to rethink what is possible? Do you want to work on a real-life challenge together with students from across Europe? Are you ready to work in a multidisciplinary team, present your ideas to experts and leave with momentum to keep going?
    Join the in-person programme at Freie Universität Berlin that will run from 21 – 23 September 2026. It is part of the conference “Sustainability in Higher Education - Between Transformation and Vibe Shifts”. You will get to work on project ideas and also have access to keynotes, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. At the end of the conference, all teams will present their final project ideas not only to each other, but also to the sustainability experts and the conference audience from around the globe!

    Join the Local Task Force at UZH and help shape the University of the Future! As a member, you will work with passionate students to adapt Una Europa initiatives to our campus and community. With support from Una Europa staff, you will have the chance to bring ideas to life that connect with your peers and align with our shared values.

    Are you passionate about shaping a sustainable future? Keen to tackle real-world challenges together with students from many different disciplines and institutions across Europe?

    If so, join students from all over Europe in the Netherlands for an inspiring and highly interactive Una Europa Student Congress, hosted by Universiteit Leiden at the campus in The Hague.

  • CALL CLOSED: Student Award 2026

    How might life as a student look in 2040? What makes education meaningful in a future shaped by uncertainty? How should universities support learning, wellbeing, and balance?

    The 2026 edition of the Una Europa Student Award invites students across our alliance to imagine the future of higher education in video by exploring two central themes "The Core Values of Higher Education" and "The Evolving Role of the University".

  • CALL CLOSED: UnaVex

    Una Europa Virtual Exchanges for Sustainability (UnaVEx) connects students from European and African universities in a structured online learning experience focused on global sustainability. The program creates an international, interdisciplinary and intercultural space where participants explore pressing sustainability challenges from climate change and biodiversity to the UN Sustainable Development Goals through expert talks, collaborative group work and intercultural dialogue.

    Take part in this accessible and inclusive international exchange opportunities without the need for physical mobility!

    As a member of Una Europa, UZH students have the opportunity to take part in joint formats and participate in projects facilitated by the alliance. Students at UZH can take advantage of the following Una Europa formats:

  • Joint Bachelor in Sustainability

    The Una Europa Joint Bachelor in Sustainability (BASUS) is an upcoming three-year interdisciplinary undergraduate program, coordinated by six leading research-intensive European universities. Graduates will receive a single diploma jointly awarded by all six universities upon successful completion. Applications for this year's call open on 2nd of April and close 28 May 2025.

  • Joint Bachelor of Arts in European Studies

    Passionate about Europe? The Joint Bachelor of Arts in European Studies (BAES) offers a unique opportunity to understand the continent’s history and global relationships. Co-developed by eight Una Europa partner universities, this multidisciplinary program equips you with essential skills to analyze key European issues. Study at up to three universities, immerse yourself in diverse cultures, and specialize in philosophy, law, economics, history, politics, or linguistics.

  • Doctoral Program in Cultural Heritage

    Join Una-Her-Doc, an interdisciplinary doctoral program in Cultural Heritage. As a candidate, you will collaborate with an international cohort and transnational research teams. This program offers a recognized joint/double doctoral title, with supervision from professors at two partner universities and required stays at multiple institutions. Admission, supervision, and assessment are managed jointly, ensuring a comprehensive experience that enhances both academic and soft skills.

Student Representation

The Una Europa Student Board comprises two student representatives from each member university of the alliance. The Student Board’s role is to act as a unified voice for all students across our alliance and to promote Una Europa initiatives and opportunities to our student community. The Board work together to tackle problems students might be facing and act as a link between students and Una Europa staff. At UZH the current student representatives are:
