If you are spending a little more time in Switzerland, we invite you to explore what the country has to offer outside of the city of Zurich. Traveling to other bigger cities such as Basel or the Swiss capital Bern will take about one hour each and they can be reached comfortably by train. Below you can find a curated selection of a handful of additional destinations easily reachable from Zurich.

  • Uetliberg

    Uetliberg, Zurich's very own mountain, offers stunning panoramic views of the city, Lake Zurich, and the Swiss Alps, making it a popular destination for hiking, picnicking, and enjoying nature. To reach Uetliberg from Zürich HB (main station), visitors can take a short train ride to Uetliberg station, followed by a scenic walk or a quick cable car ride to the summit, where the breathtaking views await.
