With an existing eduroam user account at the home university, delegates can use the same account in the eduroam network at UZH.

Without a eduroam account, delegates may use UZH's internet access for guests.

1. Select the "uzh-guest" WLAN.

2. Accept the terms of use at the bottom of the page and enter your mobile number in the registration form.

3. Receive an access code via SMS, which can be used to activate the access.

Please note that the Swiss Tourism website offers more information about the use of Wi-Fi and Mobile Data in Switzerland.

Do I need to bring an adapter?

For electricity: Switzerland uses mostly type J (3-pin) outlets. We kindly ask you to ensure that your chargers work with this outlet. If not, please make sure to bring an adaptor.

To connect one's personal computer to the owl (for virtual meetings) or screens: We highly recommend bringing an adaptor if your laptop does not have HDMI and USB-C connection.

Will there be rooms available for bilateral meetings?

Every meeting group listed in the General Assembly program has a dedicated meeting room available, as indicated in the General Assembly Brochure. These rooms will be open from 08:00 to 19:00 on 19 and 20 June 2024, and until 13:00 on 21 June 2024. Outside of the scheduled program times, you may use these rooms with your colleagues as needed.

Additional meeting rooms are available in the Building SOF, located at Schönberggasse 1, 8001 Zürich, adjacent to the UZH main building (see a map here). These rooms are available for Una Europa General Assembly delegates from 08:00 to 18:00 on 19 and 20 June 2024, and from 08:00 to 17:00 on 21 June 2024. The Atrium (“Lichthof”) is also available for informal meetings, with various tables provided.

Additionally, a coffee place “ViCafé” (KOL-E-40C) just next to the Una Europa General Assembly Registration Desk is open daily from 07:30 to 16:30, offering a perfect spot for informal meetings over a good espresso.

How does virtual participation work?

To ensure a good experience for our virtual participants at the Una Europa General Assembly, each designated room with a scheduled working meeting that includes virtual participants is equipped with a “Meeting Owl.” The Owl is already connected to an outlet and simply needs to be connected to the laptop moderating the session (handling slides and managing virtual participation). The Meeting Owl can be connected to your laptop using a USB-C cable. The projector can be connected to your laptop using a HDMI cable. No technical support will be present in the room for working meetings. You may reach out to the Una Europa Registration Desk if you encounter issues.

To ensure this runs smoothly, please bring an adaptor if you are moderating a working meeting and your laptop does not have a USB-C and HDMI connection.

Switzerland uses mostly type J (3-pin) outlets. We kindly ask you to ensure that your chargers work with this outlet. If not, please make sure to bring an adaptor.
