From 27 – 29 May 2024, the Geneva Health Forum Conference will convene alongside the World Health Assembly, offering a unique platform for scientists, medical practitioners, and field actors to address critical global health challenges.
2024 Conference theme: Health, a Common Good!
Universal healthcare coverage (UHC) is at the forefront of the World Health Organization's (WHO) strategic priorities. The growing disparities in health outcomes worldwide highlight the limitations of relying solely on market mechanisms to ensure equitable access to healthcare. In response, the WHO advocates for the development of "common goods for health”. This concept extends beyond access, urging community engagement and considering social and environmental determinants of health.
The 2024 GHF Conference will explore the vision of health as a common good, fostering discussions on societal responsibility, equity, and sustainability across three domains:
1. Towards the Elimination of Malaria
2. Migration, Health, and Equity
3. Health and Environment: Time for Solutions
These themes represent critical issues in global health, and the Geneva Health Forum provides a platform for experts, researchers, and practitioners to collaborate, share insights, and advance solutions in these key areas. Researchers are invited to CONTRIBUTE to this essential event through ORAL or POSTER PRESENTATIONS. Learn more about the Conference themes on the Geneva Health Forum's Website and submit your abstract!
Call for abstracts closes on December 15, 2023. Decision notifications will be sent out on January 31, 2024.
