28.01.2025Newton International Fellowships 2025/2026

The Royal Society, in partnership with the British Academy has opened a call for the Newton International Fellowship (NIF) programme for the academic year 2025/2026. This programme provides support for outstanding early career researchers to make a first step towards developing an independent research career through gaining experience across international borders. The fellowships enable researchers to access expertise, gain new perspectives and build long-lasting collaborative relationships. 

• Type of Fellowship: Two-year research fellowship
• Eligibility: completion of PhD (by the time the funding starts) as well as no more than seven years of active full time postdoctoral experience at the time of application
• Fields: natural sciences, which includes but is not limited to biological research and biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, mathematics and physics
• Funding: Up to £280,000 over two years, covering salary, research expenses, relocation costs, and indirect costs
• Application deadline: 18.03.2025
