Global Funding Scheme – Call now open for Collaboration with Network and Priority Partners
Global Affairs launches the revised UZH Global Funding Scheme, formerly known as the UZH Global Strategy and Partnership Funding Scheme. The revision enhances strategic international collaboration with our Network and Other Priority Partners, aligns with the goals of the UZH Global Strategy 2030, and addresses the insights gained from the funding scheme's earlier phases.

Since its launch in 2022, the Global Strategy and Partnership Funding Scheme supported around 50 interna-tional collaborations through five calls. Drawing from this experience, the revised Global Funding Scheme introduces a structure that better matches the needs of the implementation of the Global Strategy 2030 as well as of our research and professional community.
Through the Global Funding Scheme, UZH researchers and professional staff can apply to the following three funding lines: Global Outreach Fund, the Global Seed Fund, and the Global Champion Fund. Each line is tai-lored to specific strategic objectives, from enhancing UZH's global visibility to fostering sustainable collabora-tions that attract third-party funding.
Key changes include redefined priorities, updated evaluation criteria, and an enlarged list of eligible part-ners including UZH’s valued international network and alliance partners. The budget per projects range from CHF 5,000 to CHF 60,000 depending on the funding line.
The revised scheme underscores UZH's commitment to strengthening its global presence and impact through initiatives aligned with the Global Strategy 2030. The 2025 Call for the UZH Global Funding Scheme is open June 3 to August 15.
